Transport

The Crest Sports Complex and surrounding sports grounds in the Bankstown area are easily accessible by car, rail and bus. Refer to the table below to find out the best way for you to reach the venue.

A free shuttle bus service will be provided from:

  • Sydney Airport to the official games hotel (Rydges Bankstown) and other selected hotels on Thursday 5 April and Friday 6 April. Bookings for this service are essential.

  • Selected hotels to Crest Sports Complex on an hourly basis.

  • Crest Sports Complex to / from Bankstown Basketball Stadium (Badminton and Volleyball venue) and to / from Deverall Park (Netball and Tennis venue) on an hourly basis.

  • Padstow, Revesby and Villawood train stations to / from Crest Sports Complex by request.

  • Bankstown and Parramatta bus interchanges to / from Crest Sports Complex by request.

  • Rydges Bankstown and other selected hotels to Sydney Airport on Sunday 8 April. Bookings for this service are essential.

Mode Directions
By Car

From Sydney Airport (24km, approx 30 mins): Follow the signs at the airport to the M5 Motorway (using Airport Drive). Take the M5 East Tunnel and continue west for 11km on the M5 until the Fairford Road exit, Padstow. When exiting, take a right and head north on Fairford Road (for 3km) which then becomes Stacey Street (for 3km). Turn left on the Hume Highway and head west for 4km. Turn left at Johnston Road, Bass Hill and then take an immediate left into Carysfield Road.

From Sydney CBD (35km, approx 37 mins): Follow the signs from the CBD towards the airport in order to take the M5 Motorway. Then follow the instructions above.

From CBD without tolls (23km, 37 mins), head west out of the CBD using Broadway near Central Station. This becomes Parramatta Road near Sydney University - continue west for 5km. Turn left at Liverpool Road in Summer Hill and continue south-west for 8km. At Greenacre this becomes the Hume Highway - continue south-west for 7km. Turn left at Johnston Road, Bass Hill and then take an immediate left into Carysfield Road.

From Blacktown: (26km, 31 mins>: Use Reservoir Road to ener the Western Motorway and travel east for 10km. Take the Church Street exit near Parramatta and turn right onto Church Street, travelling south. This becomes Woodville Road - continue south fo 8km. At Villawood, turn left onto the Hume Highway and travel east for 3km. Turn right at Johnston Road, Bass Hill and then take an immediate left into Carysfield Road.

From Liverpool: (12km, 18 mins>: Travel north / north-east on the Hume Highway / Sydney Road through Liverpool for 9km. Turn right at Johnston Road, Bass Hill and then take an immediate left into Carysfield Road.

From Hornsby: (34km, 47 mins>: From the Pacific Highway, continue south for 3km and then veer right onto Pennant Hills Road at Wahroonga. Continue south for 11km. Veer left onto Marsden Road at Carlingford and continue south for 3km. At Eastwood, turn right into Stewart Street for 1km and then veer left onto Silverwater Road. Continue south for 5km to Auburn where this becomes St Hilliers Road. Contine south for 1km and then turn left into Rawson Street / Olympic Drive. After 2km this becomes Joseph St at Lidcobme and after another 2km this becomes Rockwood Road at Regents Park. Turn right at the Hume Highway in Bankstown and travel west for 3km. Turn left at Johnston Road and then take an immediate left into Carysfield Road.

By Train / Bus From the CBD / Airport: The Airport and East Hills train can be taken from the CBD or Sydney Airport to either Padstow or Revesby station (25 minutes) which are the two closest stations to Crest Sports Complex. From Padstow or Revesby, take the buses listed below to Crest Sports Complex.

From Padstow Station: take the M92 bus to the Bankstown Interchange Stand D (14 minutes) and then take either the 905 or 911 bus to Rex Road (16 minutes).

From Revesby Station: take the 924 bus to the Bankstown Interchange (14 minutes) and then take either the 905 or 911 bus to Rex Road (16 minutes).

Note: Rex Road is located on the western side of Crest Sports Complex.

From Blacktown: use the Blue Montains train line or North Shore & Western train line from Blacktown Station to Parramatta Station (18 minutes). From Parramatta, take the buses listd below to Crest Sports Complex.

From Parramatta: Take the 907 bus from the Parramatta Interchange Stand B1 to Woodville Rd Near Tangerine St, Villawood (16 minutes). Then take the 905 bus (15 minutes) to Rex Road which is located on the western side of Crest Sports Complex.

From Liverpool: Take the Bansktown train from Liverpool Station to Villawood Station (11 minutes). Walk 200m to the Villawood Shops and then take the 905 bus to Rex Road (12 minutes) which is located on the western side of Crest Sports Complex.
